I’m Nate, and I’ve repaired and built guitars for the past 25 years. 10 years ago, I joined the team at Smakula Fretted Instruments, and after our owner’s retirement, Leadsville Guitars was born. I strive to continue serving the local community of musicians in and around my home in Elkins. This area has had, for decades, a large and vibrant group of musicians who carry on the tradition of music making primarily in the genres of Bluegrass and Old-Time Music. These styles of music demand a deep knowledge of vintage and antique acoustic stringed instruments and that is where my passion lies.
